The 43^rd annual Villager Schools sevens tournament kicks off on Friday and yet again the wet weather has swept the Western Cape ensuring that the tournament will be played in treacherous conditions.

There are 32 teams that will partake in the day with Tygerberg back to defend their title. As per the IRB circuit there are two sections, a plate and trophy section .All games are seven minutes per half excluding the final which runs for ten minutes a stanza.

Teams to watch will be the Southern Suburbs contingent of Rondebosch,SACS,Wynberg and Bishops while Lagunya always manage to pull off a shock win in the early stages of the tournament.

Kick-off is at 14h00 at Brookside.
