The SA Schools side will be aiming to put the French side to the sword when the two teams meet in the main curtain raiser before the Springbok versus All Black test at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday. The French side defeated the SA Academy side(36-24) in Durban last weekend and will be looking for a more composed performance than the unconvincing display they turned in last weekend. The French defence was porous against the Academy side especially in the mid field . The SA Schools side will look to exploit their soft under belly and the centre combination of Jan Enslin and Dries Swanepoel whose strong running and their ability to off-load in the tackle situation will create more than a few headaches for the French defenders. Pivot Tim Swiel is accustomed to playing an expansive game and this should ignite his exciting backline. France have made just two changes for the weekend’s clash, Khatchik Vartanov and Arnaud Smets, step up into the starting XV in the place of tighthead Pascal Cottet and flank Louis Durbesson. The French overpowered the Academy scrum last weekend and the SA Schools side will need to dominate at the set phases if they are to come away with a victory. A clear day is forecast for Saturday and Lusanda Jam will be officiating the match.
